Welcome
I’m a sculptural artist of Afro-Caribbean heritage, and I’ve called the UK home since the mid-1960s. I studied Art and Design at Canterbury College during the vibrant 1970s, where I first immersed myself in sculpture—a language that continues to speak for me when words fall short. From 1985 to 2017, I worked as an Art Therapist and Manager in a Local Authority and a large NHS Trust. Specialising in Mental Health and later Mental Health with Physical Health Conditions, I contributed to two published books on Art Therapy: 'Art Therapy Race and Culture' and 'Art Therapy and Physical Health Condition.
Now in my seventies and a wheelchair user, my art has become an ever-deepening reflection on grief, aging, and physical transformation. As my health continues to decline, I find myself drawn to exploring materials that I can still physically engage with—this exploration has become an essential part of my creative process.
